Group therapy: 

The Post Covid client

A course of four sessions aimed at clients recovering from the long term effects of Covid -19. 

Fatigue management, cognitive rehabilitation and the impact of the virus on the autonomic nervous system and daily life are explored in depth.  

Based on clinical evidence and expertise, this educational and peer supported group allows interludes for shared experiences whilst focusing on practical strategy building that can make a real difference on the road to recovery.

Understanding cause and effect - making sense and connections 

The 4 session course follows on from an individual consultation.  Participants are introduced and encouraged to share their experience. Initial facts and backgrounds to learning are explained to help form connections; both within course material covered and also the peer support group.

Exploring and learning -sharing the journey to recovery

In this session symptoms are studied at a deeper level and connections between body systems and overall wellbeing are demonstrated. Each client is offered techniques and support tools whilst discovering self- awareness and building confidence.

Evaluating and consolidating - moving forward

The final session reflects on findings, topics covered and personal progress.

 A report can be provided in a follow up session or the course can be completed with the group in this session alone. Advice aimed to ensure you can maintain the progress made and move forward is given and remaining supporting resources and links are shared via e-mail.
